My presentations
I gave the opening presentation at the JTRES 2009 conference in Madrid Spain. In summary, I spoke about how Java RTS (an RTSJ implementation) may not be ideal for applications that require high-throughput as well as low latency. In the slides, I recommend an RTSJ subset that removes Scoped Memory, Immortal Memory, and priority avoidance protocols such as PIP. This leaves a heap-only RTSJ subset, which is being investigated.

“What is JavaFX and why should i care”
Jim Connors and I presented JavaFX at AjaxWorld 2009 in NYC to show how easy it is to build rich Internet applications with Java (and JavaFX Script). The keynote session was followed up with another session where we dove into the details of how to build a JavaFX application using NetBeans.
